Chef Julius to Feature Chilean Products in Chicago Chowdah Fest 2012

Chef Julius will be preparing Chilean Seafood Chowder at the Chicago Chowdah Fest 2012 which takes place this Monday March 5th, 2012 at the Columbia Yacht Club from 6:30-9PM.

Modeled after a long-running Boston festival, Chowdah Fest Chicago pits more than a half-dozen chefs in a chowder-making competition.

Attendees get to sample chowders vote on the People’s Choice award and sip beers and wines and even sample desserts. Proceeds of the event will benefit Sea Scouts, a youth sailing program. To purchase tickets, click on this link. Tickets are between $35-45.

Chef Julius is an Ambassador of Chilean Cuisine, having traveled to Chile in November 2010. He uses many Chilean ingredients from Merken, olive oils, fruits and seafood in his cooking and loves to experiment with new Chilean products.
