Commission of Chile, is partnering with Chile's Economic Development
Agency (CORFO) for a second consecutive year following a successful 2007.
The partnership raises awareness of Chile's technology market as a
venue for foreign direct investment (FDI) in shared services, IT development,

2008 Bio International Convention June 17-20, 2008 in San Diego ProChile will participate along with CORFO in the 2008 Bio International Convention. BIO is the world’s largest biotechnology organization, providing advocacy, business development, and communications services for more than 1,150 members worldwide. Corporate members range from entrepreneurial companies in the process of developing a first product to Fortune 100 multinationals. CORFO has been developing its Biotechnology industry and is keen on promoting Chile as place for investing in this sector. |

Shared Services Week March 31 – April 3, 2008 in Orlando, Florida The 12th Annual Shared Services Week is the largest annual gathering of shared services professionals in the world. The event provided executives from start-up companies intermediate and mature shared services opportunities while sharing specific industry knowledge paired with interesting tools and on how improved shared services will bring them to a better position. CORFO participated as a sponsor with a booth in this year’s conference, which featured a series of keynotes speeches, master-classes, workshops and the shared service excellence awards. |

Global Services Conference luncheon sponsored by CORFO March 12, 2008 in New York City The 2008 Global Services Conference, featuring expert discussions around business, technology services and globalization, was sponsored in part by CORFO’s Invest@Chile program. Invest@Chile hosted the conference luncheon featuring a discussion by an Evalueserve Chile top executive who shared his personal experience on investing in Chile. The luncheon included remarks by thought-leaders, workshops and real-world case studies, as well as broke new ground in providing content to aid executives in determining how to establish business value in outsourcing engagements. |

CORFO participated in the 2008 Outsourcing World Summit February 18-20, 2008 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida CORFO participated in this year’s International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) summit, the 11th edition of its conference series, which focused on the theme “Build for Change: Reconceptualizing the Corporation in an Era of Outsourcing, Offshoring and Globalization”. With its own booth, CORFO displayed information to nearly 700 outsourcing professionals from around the world who participated in the event that addressed how outsourcing can help create change, enable growth and add value in their organizations. |
