ProChile, the Trade Commission of Chile, has been working to bring more
information about Chilean specialty food items to the U.S. food trade.

| Chilean Week: October 10-24, 2007 in Los Angeles
ProChile, the Trade Commission of Chile, will launch Chilean Week in Los
Angeles, as part of a world tour to promote Chile as an alluring country
that offers reliable world-class goods and services across a variety of
industry sectors. The two-week long program will run from October 10-24,
2007 and will include a series of trade, media, and consumer events designed
especially for the arts, business, fashion, film, food, and wine communities
of the greater Los Angeles area. Over the past three years, the Chilean
Week tour has made stops across the globe in Asia, Europe, and South America.
The 2007 tour includes visits to London, Hamburg, Madrid, Toronto, Mexico
City and Los Angeles.

Chilean Cuisine Week at Grace Restaurant
Thursday, October 11th, 2007, 7:00 PM
From October 12-24, Grace Restaurant will feature a special Chilean tasting
menu created by renowned Chilean Chef Rodrigo Jofré and Grace’s
Executive Chef Neal Fraser. For two weeks only, the chefs will work together
to bring Los Angeles gourmands a taste of Chile’s culinary bounty with
novel creations utilizing gourmet Chilean ingredients.
Representatives from over twenty Chilean food companies and eleven Chilean
wineries will be in Los Angeles to present their products during Chilean
Week.

Images and Flavors of Chile: October 24, 2007 in Atlanta
The Chilean American Chamber of Commerce of the South, along with ProChile,
the Trade Commission of Chile, will be hosting a reception in Atlanta,
GA to showcase the exquisite flavors and beautiful images of Chile. Please
join us Wednesday October 24, 2007, at 6 PM at the Dunwoody Country Club,
located at 1600 Club Dunwoody Drive, Dunwoody, GA 30350. Special guests
include the Chilean Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Mariano Fernández

Taste Chile - Chilean Gourmet Week: October 30 - November 6,
2007 in Miami
Taste Chile - Chilean Gourmet Week is a weeklong gastronomic tour of Chile,
which will take place at Cacao Restaurant in Coral Gables, FL from October
30 - November 6, 2007. During one week, Cacao will feature a special Chilean
menu during lunch and dinner, as well as a special Chilean wine list. Executive
Chef Edgar Leal will present Chile’s unique culinary offerings paired with
premium wine selections from Chile. Specialty Chilean cocktails spotlighting
Chilean Pisco will be available all week long at the restaurant’s bar. The
event is supported by ProChile and the Consulate General of Chile in Miami.

| Chile in the Natural Products EXPO EAST/ Organic Products
Expo-BioFach America 2007: September 27-29, 2007 in Baltimore
A special exhibit of natural Chilean products was showcased at the Natural
Products EXPO EAST/ Organic Products Expo-BioFach America 2007, which
took place from September 27-29, 2007 at the Baltimore Convention Center.
The Economic Department of the Embassy of Chile led the Chilean participation
in the expo this year with representation from Tamaya Gourmet, Chilean
Gourmet and Chispagroup/ Frigosor, purveyors of premium Chilean food products.
Tamaya Gourmet is a producer of the Chilean Golden Papaya and Chilean
Mountain Papaya, a versatile fruit used in salads, ceviches, desserts,
cocktails or as a condiment for cheese. Chilean Gourmet is a producer
of Merken, a traditional Chilean blend of dried and smoked red chilies,
toasted coriander seeds, cumin and salt. The company also produces Kultrun,
an extra virgin olive oil flavored with Merken, as well as 100% pure Ulmo
tree honey and Native Forest Honey. Chispagroup/Frigosor produces natural
Chilean beef and other natural products.
The Natural Products EXPO EAST is the largest expo of its kind on the
East coast of the US and the second in importance, after Natural Products
EXPO WEST, which is held in California. More than 1,100 exhibitors participated
in this sampling, featuring leading producers in the natural and organic
product sector. |

International Summer Fancy Food Show: July 8-10, 2007 in New
York City
For the 6th year in a row, ProChile participated in the 53rd annual Fancy
Food Show in New York on July 8-10, 2007. The Fancy Food Show is an annual
large-scale trade event sponsored by the National Association for the
Specialty Food Trade (NASFT). This year, The Chilean Pavilion hosted 32
specialty food companies, including olive oils, seafood products, processed
foods and wines. As in years past, ProChile hosted a Flavors of Chile
reception that featured unique Chilean food preparations as well as premium
Chilean wines, courtesy of Wines of Chile. In addition, ProChile presented
Chilean wines at the Meet the Tastemakers reception, a VIP reception that
featured top New York chefs, wineries, and other beverage purveyors. Reporters
from the New York Daily News and the New York Post included several Chilean
food products among their favorites from the show and ranked carica and
merken among their top “Fancy Food Show Finds.” |

| An Evening of Chilean Flavors: June 27, 2007 in New York City
On June 27, 2007, ProChile held a Flavors of Chile event at The Culinary
Loft in New York City for food industry influentials including food importers,
distributors, supermarket buyers, specialty retailers, food service companies,
and top food journalists from both consumer and trade publications. The
goal of the seminar was to introduce key food industry members to Chilean
specialty food products and to encourage them to incorporate Chilean flavors
into their stores and product portfolios. Guests of note included journalists
from Food & Wine, Gourmet, Every Day with Rachael Ray, Real Simple,
Restaurant Business, and Specialty Food Magazine, as well as buyers from
Freshdirect, Roland Food, Chelsea Market Baskets, and Blue Apron Foods.
The event consisted of a presentation about Chile’s food exports, unique
flavors and specialty food products, a cooking demonstration incorporating
Chilean ingredients led by Chilean chef Erio G. Cavalieri, and an elaborate
product display where guests had the opportunity to sample distinctive
Chilean flavors such as merken (smoked Chilean red pepper), extra virgin
avocado oil, Chilean carica (an exotic Chilean fruit), specialty vinegars,
fruit preserves, and grass-fed beef, among others.
