The Sixth Annual Hispanic Gala, was carried out at the Science Museum in Virginia. The event was organized by the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. ProChile’s Commercial Office in Washington D.C., attended and sponsored this event.

The Ambassador of Chile to the US, José Goñi, spoke at the dinner, highlighting the excellent situation of bilateral relations and mentioning that at this time of crisis the most important thing is to protect the trade flows and not to be tempted to promote international trade barriers. Subsequently, H.E. made a toast with Chilean wine and invited the audience to watch a video about our country.

In addition, local entrepreneurs and authorities were present, such as Mr. Charles M. Gutierrez, Former Secretary of Commerce and Anna Escobedo Cabral, former Secretary of Treasury.

Chile manifested its presence during the entire event. At the reception with institutional banners and a vast wine tasting; throughout the dinner, only Chilean wine was served, the screening of a video about the country and typical landscape photos where showed. All these key strategies allowed fulfilling the goal of export promotion and international country image in the State of Virginia.
