The Trade Commission of the Embassy of Chile in Washington DC, ProChile, participated in the Awards Gala of the Restaurant Association of the Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), “The RAMMYS”, one of the areas’ most anticipated and glamorous evenings that celebrate and recognize the many extraordinary professionals that comprise the restaurant and associate membership of RAMW. Each year with a new and exciting theme, RAMW brings together esteemed hospitality leaders for a special evening devoted to honoring excellence in our restaurant and food service community.
The event was held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington DC, to which more than 1,500 restaurant industry professionals such as important chefs, sommeliers, restaurant owners, distributors, importers and press media, gathered together to recognize and award excellence and achievement in the DC Metropolitan area. After the awards, each participant was able to taste food and beverages from each of the 5 pavilions, Mexico, Australia, Nordic Countries, Cousine Solutions and Chile that were present in the main hall. In the Chilean pavilion, all guests had the chance to experience a Chilean menu which was based on national recipes and products, such as olive oil, vinegar, merquen spice and carica fruit. At the same time, Chilean wines, Mango Sour and Pisco Sour were available.
