Flavors of Chile at The Culinary Loft will feature a special menu and seminar showcasing the use of Chilean gourmet products, olive oils, spices and delicious flavors all paired with the right wines from Chile. The cooking demo will be hosted by Chilean Chef Pilar Rodriguez, who blends flexibility and art while cooking to the wine, and the wine expertise will be provided by Michael Green, Wine & Spirit Consultant for Gourmet Magazine, an artist on finding a wine to fit your meal and palate.

Chilean hands produce sublime ingredients that are being introduced at this event. Unique Mapuche spices such as merquén and gourmet specialty products like ulmo honey, carica, and extra virgin olive and avocado oils all of which express Chile's unique terroir.

Chef Pilar Rodriguez is well known for using a unique approach designing each dish in her menus for a specific wine. Clearly, it’s the concept of 'cooking for the wine' achieved in concert with some of the biggest names of the Chilean wine industry – that makes her cuisine stand out.

The Culinary Loft, tucked into a historic cast iron building in the heart of SoHo, has played host to a variety of culinary special events designed to educate and entertain. This is the second event hosted by ProChile in this venue.

The event will take place on Thursday November 20 from noon to 2 pm at 515 Broadway, Suite 5A, New York, New York 10012.
