"Dinner in Honor of the Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Board of Directors"

ProChile and the Ambassador of Chile in Washington D.C., José Goñi, held a dinner at the Residence of the Embassy in tribute to the Board of Directors of the Women Chefs & Restaurateurs (WCR). Former President of the WCR, Maureen Pothier and newly elected head of the WCR, Jamie Leeds, attended amongst the 30 guests invited.

The menu was elaborated by Chilean Chef Pilar Rodriguez and prepared by the residence personal Chef, which included special preparations for the reception and the dinner with national products, such as “merquén”, olive oil and “carica”. Each plate was pared with an exceptional selection of Chilean wines that were introduced to the guests by the representative of Wines of Chile – USA, Lori Tieszen.  

During the dinner, the institutional video "Sights and Sounds of Chile" was shown. At the end of the activity, an "All Ways Surprising" bag, which contained “merquen”, olive oil and brochures of national products and tourism, was given to each guest.

The activity had a high and positive impact upon guests, whom have purchasing potential and appreciated the some of the national gourmet products that this mission promotes in the local market.
