The Havana Film Festival New York (HFFNY) is an internationally recognized film festival celebrating Latin American cinema. In its 9th year, HFFNY features the most current cinematic talent of all Latin America.
This year's edition will count with the US premiere of the Chilean movie "Radio Corazón" from director Roberto Artiagoitía. Radio Corazón recreates Chile's most successful radio show of all times. Composed of 3 fun, sexy and romantic short films based on true stories as told by the show's listeners to "Rumpy", an unparalleled radio host, who is also the film's director. The film was nominated for best film at the 2007 Cartagena Film Festival and had a nomination for best actress at the 2008 Viña del Mar Film Festival.
The screenings are set for Monday April 14-15 at the Quad Cinema and will be followed by Q&A with the director.
ProChile will be present at the event sponsoring the opening night reception at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Thursday April 10.
