2009 promises to be a strong year for Chilean cinema, starting with director Sebastian Silva's ("La Vida Me Mata", 2007) and his second feature film entitled "The Maid" ("La Nana"), which has been selected to be screened at the prestigious 2009 Sundance Film Festival, one of the most important and well-respected film festivals on the international circuit. The film in which actress Catalina Saavedra stars, will be competing along with 16 other productions in the category of World Cinema Dramatic Competition, from January 15-25, 2009 in Park City, Utah.

"What the director and production team have accomplished is enormous due to the fact that this year there have only been two Latin American films in competition, which has drawn much attention from the critics. We are committed to find ways to contribute toward the support that the government has provided for this film which has great possibilities of succeeding in this important event" said Araneda.
